TropT sensitive, Rapid Troponin T Test
TropT sensitive from Roche is a qualitative immunological rapid test for use in diagnostic testing to provide information on the presence of cardiac troponin T in anticoagulated venous whole blood. It is easy to use and read and requires no special training. The result can be read after only 15-20 minutes after the blood sample has been applied to the test window.

What was TropT sensitive developed for?
The Troponin T rapid test was developed for the rapid diagnosis of myocardial infarction. Due to the release of a biochemical marker specific to the heart muscle, patients with acute coronary syndrome, as is the case with myocardial necrosis, can now be diagnosed. Even if characteristic changes are absent in the patient's ECG, a positive troponin T test indicates an NSTEMI, which can support a rapid therapy decision.

Test Principle
This test contains two monoclonal antibodies specific for troponin T (gold-labelled and biotinylated). These form a so-called sandwich complex with troponin T. After the erythrocytes have separated, the plasma flows through the detection zone of the test. If the concentration of troponin T is higher than 0.1 ng/ml, the detection line turns red. This is due to the accumulation of troponin T sandwich complexes. Excess gold-labelled antibodies bind and stain the control line. If the control line is visible, the test is functioning properly.

Test Procedure
Remove the test strip from the package and place it on a flat surface
Take blood sample (EDTA or heparinised venous blood only)
Place sample on test strip
Wait 15-20 minutes, then read the test result (a positive result is indicated by two bars)

Please Note: If no line is displayed, the test is invalid and must be repeated.
